AR Needs far more development

I had high hopes to use the AR in an Educational environment to display some 3D model over and existing structure. But the Origin is not predictable with relation to the marker. The Origin is not that of the model done in SolidWorks but some point in the center of the geometry and then I would think the bottom of the model would act if it was planted on the marker but appears that is hovers somewhere above or maybe below, making it impossible to align it with real world geometry or at least I have not found a way yet. It would be great if the Origin of an assembly was the center of the marker. The marker itself has the Y axis labeled wrong in relation to SW Y axis and what you see on the screen. +X is towards the Right edge of the paper, +Z is toward Bottom edge of paper and +Y is Up off the surface of the paper. The next big problem is maybe the iPad itself not sure. Background is out of focus when it tries to find the marker making the model jump around and flicker too much when the marker is clearly visible. With every little movement the camera goes in and out of focus. Briefly I notice it is in focus then it goes out of focus. When it is completely out of focus the marker cannot be found and the model disappears. Another problem is the shadow can’t be turned off. Maybe with pro it can be. The marker may not always be the ground. There needs to be a method to calibrate perspective of the camera with the perspective of the model so it can be aligned better. If you just want to view the model itself with no AR then the program works fine. I specifically got this for the AR reason and I am finding out now I can’t do what was planned. It is crazy that Solidwork is PC based and AR functionality is only for iOS. In my opinion the AR function is still beta quality.
